It is my intention for this site to be a resource for people interested in the Toltec Wisdom, shamanism, personal freedom or just plain being a happy human being. The Toltec path is a path of action and the resources provided here whether it be links to the sites of Toltec Teachers or Toltec books or related things that have assisted me on my path are here to help you take action.

So, first things first. Sign up for my newsletter. If you already closed the window to sign up, just refresh the page. With it I will keep you updated with news about the site and I plan on adding some pretty cool downloads in the near future. My list will be the first to know about these resources.

In my own personal dream I am one who was always looking for more information. Is there another book I can read? Am I missing something here? Maybe I should get a second opinion. I realized at some point that it was just a strategy to keep me from being free.

There is always more information, but the information that counts is inside you. I am not saying you will not need any assistance in learning how to listen to that infinite knowledge in you, but just know that it is there. I still have to find ways to remind myself of that fact.

I freely admit that I go back to sleep frequently and get lost in the dream and stop realizing that this is just a dream. This Toltec Wisdom website is a tool of awareness for me. Through it I can write articles about my experiences and talk about things that have awakened me. This may help you along and it may not, I am not sure. I guess what I am saying is that this site is more about me.

That is a good thing though, because after all I am the only one here. I will expand on that thought more in a later article.

As I list resources here along with some personal writings find something that resonates with you. Listen to your heart when choosing a book or a teacher. I will tell you of my experience with the resources I have used. But, what is really important is how it feels to you.

My name is Shane and I am now in my late 30’s, but a long long time ago when I was in my 20’s J I starting reading books by Carlos Castaneda. I was very intrigued by this “warrior’s path” that he spoke of. On the other hand I was brought up going to a Pentecostal church with my grandmother and believed that walking this path would involve denying my faith. I was not what you would call a devout Pentecostal or anything I just lived in fear of hell and being rejected by God.

Several years ago I was told about a book by an author named Susan Gregg called “The Toltec Way: A Guide to Personal Transformation”. I was told that it was by a lady that worked with a Nagual. That was the first time I heard the term, Toltec Wisdom. I was very excited just by the prospect of someone else writing about these things besides Castaneda. I read some of that book but was interrupted by my discovery of the “The Four Agreements ” by Don Miguel Ruiz.

Again my interest was peaked. Don Miguel Ruiz spoke of this ‘warrior’s path” as a way of life. However, I still had the fear in me of hell and rejection by God. I let Don Miguel’s words sit with me for a few more years. I actually went on the internet and looked at websites of a few Toltec Mentors. An early favorite of mine was the site of Allan Hardman which is http://www.joydancer.com. Then I read yet another book. This next book is a rather comprehensive book that tied Carlos Castaneda and Don Juan Matus to Don Miguel Ruiz. It is called “The Complete Idiot's Guide to Toltec Wisdom ” by Dr. Sheri Rosenthal.

With that I was on my way. I set out to become the warrior and to walk the “warrior’s path”. My first stop was the site of Dr. Rosenthal. Her website is http://www.sherirosenthal.com. There is a forum on her site where you can interact with other Toltec Warriors. As some time passed, I eventually gravitated back to Allan Hardman’s site I like to say, find what resonates with you. Allan resonated with me and I wanted to know more. Allan has an online community called TACO. TACO stands for Toltec Apprentice Community Online. Here is the link for it, TACO. It features sets of lessons called gateways. There are discussion boards and a chat room where you can have access to Allan three times a week.

Allan, has since come out with a book of his own called, The Everything Toltec Wisdom Book: A Complete Guide to the Ancient Wisdom's. I highly recommend this book as it has been a book I carry with me often.

Please grab a copy of these books that I have listed if you want a comprehensive look at Toltec Wisdom.

Also, please check out my links page for a list of Toltec Teachers.
